Julio Silveira, born in Recife, Brazil, in 1972 is a publisher, writer and curator of literary festivals. Founder of Casa da Palavra publishing house (1996), former editorial director of Ediouro/Agir/Nova Fronteira and currently head of Ímã Editorial (Brasil) and Motor Editorial (Portugal). Co-diretor of “Nossa Lingua”, a trans-media (movie documentary, exposition, book and social media) initiative promoting the creative dialogue throughout the Portuguese-speaking world. Having been the curator and promoter of different literary and cultural festivals, he is ahead of LER, Salão Carioca do Livro, arguably the largest free and independent cultural event in Brazil.
